Back Issue Comics trades from the web site www.backissuecomics.co.uk and mail order catalogues.
On the web site, and from print media including catalogues all orders are accepted as a request to supply. Orders are placed on the system as reservations with payment details held by Payment Service providers, Sagepay or Paypal.
Card Security
When ordering, your card details are secure. Back Issue Comics does not keep your card data. We use the services of payment service provider (PSP) Sage Pay. (One of the largest such organisations in the UK). PSP’s are Payment Card Industry compliant security organisations that offer fully secure facilities for the holding of Customer confidential data. At final check out on the Back Issue Comics website, you are seamlessly transferred to Sage Pay where you enter your card details once. After updating, Sage Pay seamlessly return you to Back Issue Comics, where you can continue shopping or log out.
Sage Pay will pre-authorise the card for one penny (to prove that it is genuine) then send Back Issue Comics a series of random access codes.
When ordering by mail or telephone. Our operators will enter your card data into the secure Sage Pay terminal. In return they receive confidential random access codes, which are applied to your order. Sage Pay will pre-auth your card for one penny. Then your card data is securely shredded.
For security Back Issue Comics do not keep card data. Either electronically, or on paper.
When goods arrive and are ready for shipment, Back Issue Comics uses the Sage Pay access codes to apply for release of funds, and then, only for the goods about to be dispatched (plus postage if applicable)
The other payment method is Paypal. A secure and easy payment option that allows you to use credit and debit cards as well as Paypal itself.
Customers should note that when paying with PayPal the money will be debited from your account, by Paypal, at time of order, irrespective of when the goods may be ready to ship.
If ordering for a special occasion (birthday, anniversary etc) please let us know the date. We shall do our best to meet it, but we do have to specify that we cannot be held liable if we are unable to meet the due date.
Overseas Customers – We accept orders from outside the UK. Shipments to addresses outside the UK are sent at cost. When goods are ready, either full or part shipments, we shall notify you of the shipping cost to enable us to debit your account with the shipping fee.
